This course will cover the use of tricalcium silicates as a base before the final restoration in the treatment of MIH. It is important to recognize when to drill and when not to drill due to the pain that would cause the patient because it is difficult to numb these teeth. Another important piece of information is the possibility of a pulp exposure on stress bearing areas of those teeth with severe MIH and the use of the tricalcium silicates on that pulp exposure. I will discuss the mixing, placement and the best indications of use of the tricalcium silicate.
